What is SLU-PP-332?
SLU-PP-332 is a potent synthetic agonist of estrogen-related receptors alpha and gamma (ERRα/ERRγ) — nuclear receptors that regulate mitochondrial biogenesis, oxidative phosphorylation, and fatty acid oxidation. Produces a systemic exercise-mimetic transcriptional programme: upregulates PGC-1α co-activation, increases mitochondrial content in skeletal muscle, and enhances running endurance in mice without training. CAS 2034285-61-3.
Research Applications
ERRα/ERRγ Pharmacology
Nuclear receptor agonism — ligand binding, co-activator recruitment
Mitochondrial Biogenesis
PGC-1α co-activation → OXPHOS gene programme
Exercise Mimicry
Endurance enhancement in sedentary mice — treadmill models
Fatty Acid Oxidation
CPT1/HADHA upregulation — skeletal muscle lipid utilisation
Heart Failure Research
Cardiac mitochondrial restoration in pressure-overload models
